Car Rules
• CACC website
• 2026 CACC General Competition Regulations
• CACC Time Attack Webpage
• 2026 CACC Time Attack Regulations
For fully accurate classification information you should be looking at the 2026 CACC Time Attack Regulations – this CACC classification structure is based upon SCCA Time Trials classification. We post this information here as a courtesy, but it is not the official classification document.
CACC Car Classification information may be found in the CACC Time Attack Regulations on the caccautosport.org website. For full details on safety equipment, the driver is expected to review the CACC General Competition Regulations and the CACC Time Attack Regulations.
Please note, that while there are significant similarities between CACC TA classification and the SCCA Time Trials classifications, there are also differences. Ensure that you base your classification and safety standards upon the CACC Regulations. For example, CACC allows cars in Max classes with approved roll cages to run on DOT tires with a treadwear rating down to 40TW
Legacy Classes
Drivers who participated in a legacy class in 2019 or earlier MAY run in the Legacy Class again in 2026. Legacy classes may only be used when the driver and the car have participated at Knox Mountain Hill Climb in that legacy class in 2019 or prior and the car has not been significantly upgraded. A returning driver with a ‘new’ car MUST USE the current CACC Time Attack classification system. A ‘new’ driver with a returning car must use the current CACC Time Attack Classification system.
NOTE: All Drivers new to running Knox Mountain Hill Climb must class their car according to the CACC Time Attack Regulations 2026. This classification system is based upon the SCCA Time Trials system.
